The Emotional Truth
"I was interested... then I forgot to follow up."
Curiosity sparks learning. But if it stays just a spark, it doesn't compound.
Curiosity helps encode today. Spacing protects you from forgetting next week. The two need to work together.

Wonder → Recall → Schedule: The Full Loop
Curiosity gets you into learning mode. Retrieval builds the memory pathway. Spacing keeps the memory alive. When you chain all three—wonder → recall → schedule—you turn fleeting interest into durable knowledge.

Run the Loop (10 minutes)
The "Wonder → Recall → Schedule" routine:
-
Wonder (2 min) — Write 3 "why/how" questions about today's topic. Create the gap.
-
Recall (5 min) — Close the book. Answer your questions from memory in short bullets.
-
Check + correct (2 min) — Open notes. Correct only what's wrong or missing.
-
Schedule (1 min) — Add one review slot for 2 days later. Lock in the compound.
Output: 3 questions answered + 1 scheduled review. That's a complete learning loop.
